Today was Record Store Day. I hot a local shop and I got the two releases I was hoping for: The Guitar World According to Frank Zappa, and Weezer's Teal Album. The latter is the cool covers record the band did.
I also received some LONG awaited records in the mail. I ordered the first two OK Go releases a year-and-a-half ago through PledgeMusic. If you don't know, PledgeMusic has been under fire lately for ripping off artists and fans. It's a blow that hurts everyone. I like crowdfunding platforms and this kind of carp deceases consumer confidence.
In addition to those, Clara picked out used copies of Paul Simon's Graceland and Elvis Costello's Punch the Clock from the record store.

I love vinyl for the sound quality and tactile experience of loading a disc onto a machine and watching/hearing the needle create sound. But it's more a once-in-a-blue-moon sort of thing for us; our casual listening is over streaming and on devices.

I probably buy too many records. Today I visited the record store and bought Weezer's Pinkerton. Clara got a Hooters album and one from The Animals.
