Here's where you can show and tell about your new book acquisitions. Or simply tell about them. I just got the new one by my buddy, Matt Serafini. I've enjoyed his work for some time now, and he's been a friend for even longer. Then I just got one of Ramsey Campbell's best collections. An Arkham House edition. I got it for a song.

I got some really cool titles this week. These came on Tuesday. It's always great to get a new Little book from Borderlands. I'm enjoying getting the Janz novels in hardcover and I am excited about the new one by Brian Pinkerton. Flame Tree is doing super-nice hardcovers. I recently listened to the Astonishing: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction audiobook. I read it last year. I've always been fascinated and enamored of the Golden Age of SF. Campbell was a visionary, a provocateur, and a bit of a loon. I'll enjoy reading these pieces in between novels. Cat Magic isn't the best Whitley Strieber novel, but it was an important one to me when it came out. I scored this nice edition for fifty cents at a thrift store, and it will reside in my sacred bedside bookshelf.
