I thought that the first Pet Sematary adaptation, while no cinematic masterpiece, serviced the material well. For my money it's one of the better King movies.
Now of course it's being remade. Perhaps necessarily, but maybe we'll get a good movie out of it.
I liked the first trailer that was released, and I felt it held a lot of promise. The second one was less enticing. It looks like they are trying to channel The Wicker Man a bit too much to me.
I'll probably see it, but I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to do so.

I thought the first trailer looked fantastic, and have deliberately steered away from seeing the second, and I'm really pissed off at the articles determined to spoil it with their comments like 'What does Stephen King think of the big change from his book...' and then give it away. I just want to enjoy the movie, rather like we used to when we were young and you'd see a poster go up near the cinema, or on the edge of town, and know that in a few months there was going to be this amazing thing to see... and if you were buying the magazines you'd maybe know what they were making now, but had no idea of the rights that had been grabbed and how stuff was stuck in development hell etc

Too much information everywhere these days. It has stolen the mystery and anticipation away from us.
