This may seem a little self-promotiony because I have a story in this anthology, Dark Tides, but the book is for a great cause. All proceeds go to the Virginia Beach Tragedy Fund. This is the brain child of John J. Questore who in the wake of the Virginia Beach shooting wanted not to just sit back and grieve but actually do something. He got together a lot of talent, including securing reprints from King and Gaiman, and I am very proud to be part of it. Dark Tides

Thank you. This means lot. I bought two copies and donated one to the Virginia Beach Public Library. I work for the City of Virginia Beach and this hit very close to home. The book is nicely put together and the effort is appreciated. I will be certain to read your story. I encourage everyone to buy a copy for the cause and some good stories.

Yes, way too close to home for us. Thanks for participating in this anthology, Mark. If I didn't suck so much at short stories, I'd have read it by now.

I think my story in that anthology is one of my best. I was so glad I could write something for this cause.

The editor is local and is doing a signing/reading at a B@N next Saturday. I really want to go, but it could not come on a busier weekend for us. We hope to stop by the store a little early for a quick chat with him.

If you do get to meet John Questore there, I think you'll really like him, Mark. He's a huge horror fan and a really nice guy.
