I'm not much on Podcasts. The ones I've heard tend to have a few people laughing too hard at weak jokes, trying to generate festivity. Ones on Horror generally have stuff I am already familiar with. Just not my thing.
But I do have a long commute and audiobooks don't always cut it for me. I often need something light. I tried the Movie Sign With The Mads Podcast yesterday and I have listened to four episodes already.
The Mads refer to the fictional mad scientists from Mystery Science Theater 3000, Frank Coniff and Trace Beaulieu. They and their co-host Carolina Hidalgo feature a movie in each episode. There really isn't anything particularly enlightening about it all, but I am enjoying it. So far I've heard the shows about The Irishman, Dolomite is my Name, Tremors, and Weird Al's UHF.
The guys are smart, and they obviously love movies. While they are kind of Hollywood outsiders, they have also been involved in show business in various capacities for decades.
So, yeah, it's cool. Pleasant and chatty and I tend to agree with them most of the time. And it's free.

Cool. I listen to podcasts/audiobooks all the time. I'll have to add this one to my list.

I'm still enjoying this podcast, and I've heard the Mads discuss Would You Be My Neighbor, An American Werewolf in London, The Founder, It, Desperado, and Titanic.

The podcast has ended. Frank and Trace both announced it, but they gave no reasons why. They all seemed to love doing the show, so I don't know why they had to shut it down. It recently had been moved to Spotify, along with The Last Podcast Network. I am not sure if that had any bearing on why.
I wish they would tell fans what happened, but they owe us nothing.
This makes me sad. Obviously an entertainment podcast is small potatoes in the midst of a global crisis, but we need our diversions. I had only been listening to the show for a few weeks, and now it's gone.
I wish the guys the very best, and I hope they embark on another creative endeavor soon.
